Earlier this year, I had the good fortune to be in residence at Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni on April 05, 2019, which marked the opening of the 2019 season at the illustrious Lake Como resort. What an honor to be greeted by Mr. Jan Bucher, a scion of the Bucher Family, which has safeguarded this historic hotel for four generations.

During the winter months of 2018-19, the five-star hotel continued its annual refurbishment of the rooms, suites, and public spaces. Restaurant renovations at La Goletta include a canopy for inclement weather in order to allow al fresco dining for guests. In addition, every bathroom throughout the hotel has been meticulously renovated.

Originally built in 1873, Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni has been owned and managed by the Bucher family since 1918. For more than 100 years, the Bucher family has retained the impeccable standards of this five-star resort while simultaneously updating its amenities and offering guests the latest technological innovations, including Wi-Fi and internet.

With Chef Ettore Bocchia at the helm, the cuisine at Michelin-starred Le Mistral and the brasserie-inspired La Goletta continues to be outstanding—and Chef Bocchia promises to continually inspire this season’s guests with his visionary menus and delectable delicacies.

At Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni, beauty and wellness continue to be an integral part of a sojourn. The hotel’s facilities include an on-site spa and fitness center, as well as steam room and sauna, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, and a private beach.

Just beyond the gates of the fabled hotel are Bellagio’s finest boutiques and shops, as well as numerous maritime and land activities. Personalized sightseeing tours and private events can be arranged via the hotel’s concierge.

More announcements and events will be announced throughout the season—so stay tuned. In the meantime, we’re happy to welcome a new season at the famed Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni in Bellagio.
